Ah, New England In January — Must Mean The Chargers Won!

I was dead wrong when predicting last week the Chargers would win by a field goal, 27-24 in overtime. Turns out they didn’t need any extra time. Nor did they need a healthy Antonio Gates. Or L.T. Or Phillip Rivers.

Also, I got the score wrong, as the final was 28-24.

My bad. :)

Next, we’ll find out how well Tom Brady throws while either running for his life, or on his back. If the Pats can’t mount a running game any better than the Colts did today, Glendale will be awash in Gold, Blue, and Lightning Bolts February 3rd. :)

Whatever you do, take San Diego and the points. The sport world is so in love with New England this year, they’ll no doubt be favored by at least 10 points.

Not #$%&*# likely. :)

    Always liked you David. :)

What a game today. As I e-mailed Jeff earlier, even the two of us non sports fans were on the edge of our seats!

  4. Athol Kay says:

Your San Diego Super Pansies will be shivering their butts off and will do nothing more than cheer the clock to get their butts back inside.

  5. BawldGuy says:

No doubt Athol. But we’ll be scurrying back inside having proven beyond a doubt Mr. Brady can’t throw when prone. :)

Again, either way, take the Chargers and the points. It should be a pretty high number.

We just beat the defending champs, in their house, with our 2nd stringers.

Cold? Yep, it’ll be nasty. Of course, after the game they’ll be back in sunny San Diego — and you Athol, won’t.

    Neener neener neener. :)

How is your Humble Pie today Jeff?

  9. BawldGuy says:

It’s been a hard pill to swallow, since we got into their kitchen four straight times, with just field goals as results.

As I said in the post, if you bet the Chargers with the points you won big time.

Also, we in SD are so proud of the team’s gutty performance. It wasn’t just that their three best offensive starters were injured, it was worse than that.

Our QB was last year’s Pro Bowl starter. Our RB is hands down the best in the NFL, as is our TE — all three of which were down. Only Rivers was able to at least stay out there. Yet we still remained a viable threat ’till the bitter end.

The crow, by the way, tasted much better, since I BBQed it using the KC method. :)

LOL you know that I don’t really care Jeff, but you still have to write a little novel back as a reply. :-)

I was sick all weekend and played Warcraft all day – didn’t even watch the game ;-P
