Real Estate Investment Mortgage Interest Rate Update

The rates are happily staying in the tight range in which they’ve resided for awhile now. Also, there’s an old loan being dusted off, and presented as ‘new and improved’. For certain borrowers 15% down payments will be available. Interest is the same, but there will be mortgage insurance. It’s only for a select few investors, at least in my view. There’d still be cash flow, obviously reduced. Call me for details, but understand my OldSchool DNA means less than 25% of my clientele would be suited for this approach. Maybe less than that. However, those for whom it makes sense, can reap benefits not available for several years now.

Let’s get on with the rates.

Interest on single family rentals today was — 4.75% — fixed rate for 30 years.

The rate for 2-4 unit loans today was — 4.625% — fixed rate for 30 years.
