San Diego Shows It’s Real Character — And It’s Stellar

I’m so proud of the way we’re handling this disaster as a community. From state government down to individual volunteers, the team effort has been inspirational. It’s almost 9 AM and the wind in the East County has died down to almost nothing. Hopefully this will prove to be a short window of opportunity for firefighting aircraft, which up to this point have been grounded.

Here’s another way for my readers to give much needed help.

You can go immediately over to BloodhoundBlog and pass on any info you may have on specific areas in San Diego County. Folks around the country are, in some cases, desperate for any information, as they haven’t been able to contact friends and family.

You would be helping folks deal with the information blackout they’re experiencing. Major news networks are doing their best, but just can’t report on a micro level as we can. Any informational comment you make will be gratefully received by many of San Diegans’ loved ones, living in other parts of the country.

God bless you all for your help.

  1. Great post. The people in San Diego need all the help they can get. Good luck to the people of San Diego and hope the winds calm down.

Thanks so much Mary. The winds have calmed down, and returned to their west to east ocean breeze.

As usual in life, this also portends a return of the ashes/embers which were temporarily blown out to sea. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Thanks for coming by, and please don’t be a stranger, ok?
