The Long Trip Home – I’m Almost There

Slowly, and I mean slooooowly but surely we’ve been building a brand new infrastructure for Brown and Brown’s day-to-day operation. We’re not changing what we do, but almost all of the behind the scenes stuff. It’s taken much longer than BawldTechTard predicted, but we’re just about there.

It appears we could be ready to turn the page just after Memorial Day. The new infrastructure will allow us to do the same amount of work/research/analysis in less time and with improved results, or so the GeniusGeeks tell us. :)

It’ll be nice to be ‘back’ in San Diego to do some business here — though as I’ve said so often here, it’ll be exclusively to assist local real estate investors Get Outa Dodge. We’ll be able to return to rubbing shoulders with the locals, a task to which I’m lookin’ forward. I’ve missed seeing so many of the local crowd the last seven years.

Anywho, everyone have a super weekend, and don’t do anything I wouldn’t, OK?

Also, if the mood hits ya, feel free to gimme a call, as there’re are no weddings scheduled this weekend. :) 619 889-7100. Have a good one.

  1. Hey Jeff!

Great to hear you see the light at the end of the tunnel on the tech upgrades, reminds me of the process of remodeling–usually by the end of the project I am ready to hire someone to finish it off as I am so tired of grind!

Thankfully those glimpses of the finished product are usually enough to overcome the flight response and as everything starts to come together I find a increase in energy and and urgency to finish strong.

Hopefully Brown and Brown finishes up strong and your new tools are making life easier and happier by the end of the month–which is my goal for returning to the great state of Idaho to spend the summer finishing off my 1946 Chris renovation for some summer boating on Lake CDA.

You enjoy the weekend yourself with the family.
