Yes, Eagle and the Boise Area will grow because this is a terrific place to live.
But, we need to PLAN for our growth and ensure that growth pays for itself.
We will enjoy a very bright future if we plan for traffic, schools, and infrastructure before we build more homes.
P.S. I like the new, cleaner, easier to read look and feel of your site!

Airport hell is the worst. The site change is only about three days old, so you're only fashionably late. :) Glad you like it.

Go take a nap.

Hey, Jeff! Thanks for the plug on a very DRY topic. Love the new look of your site, by the way (which I fear isn't new at all - I've been busy and should probably get out more). Finally getting back tomorrow from a week in airport hell, so I suspect I will have some catching up to do!

Cher - going by their previous planning of Eagle Road, I'd say don't hold your breath. :) Of course, if they learned from that debacle, maybe Eagle will end up as a template for the rest of the region. Having the developers pay for infrastructure as they go usually results in the later, which is of course, your point -- and very well taken.

Concerning the Eagle developement: I vote to have the developers pay for some of the infrastructure and do it concurrently with the building of the homes.
I'm wondering if there will be a planning of when these homes come on line, otherwise there could be an overbuilt situation which would reduce values for a while. I guess time will tell. But over the long haul, growth is always good. The value of the sominex account is that it will enable investors to sell at the optimal time and have to dump properties when there are high vacancies or too much inventory.
